When I was given this assignment. I I had no idea what I was going to do because there were number of different things I could do. I knew that I didn't want to do something regular like a paper, I wanted to do something extrodinary.
I discovered my project subject when I visited The International Spy Museum in Washington DC. When I walked through the museum I was amazed by all the sneaky things people came up with to deceive other people. There were pens that could conceal a small knife, there were listening devices that could pickup a conversation from 100 yards. Then I found the furniture which had hidden compartments that could hide anything from money to a weapon to a place to keep your many identities. There was a shelf that had a large hidden compartment on the underside that really caught my eye.
After some research I came up with a plan to make a hidden shelf that also incorporated some on the technology that we have today. This project was a real learning experience for me, not only did I need to document the procedure so that someone else could follow it, I had to learn to use a lot of tools that I was not familiar with.
